Today we hear a little bit about his experience with RH, the tournament itself, and plans for next season. Interview below.

Flame4Game: Hello Reimsy! Congratulations on your Season 11 win. How does it feel to be a VCC Champion?

Reimsy: Honestly, it feels pretty great. I've been in and out of VCC since about Season 5 and it's nice to finally win a season. I was lucky to have a great team that got along so well this season, and it feels good to win with a group of people I enjoy playing with. Most of all, it's nice to genuinely be proud of how well I played.

Flame4Game: You absolutely should, throughout the whole tournament you were fragging like crazy. We have touched on your teammates with jackb and Kaitou already, but tell us again: What was the team experience like, especially going through that insane lower bracket run? How was mental, confidence, and more?

Reimsy: RH was just a really fun team to play in. There were obviously multiple stressful matches, but most of the time it really just felt like hanging out in the server. The hardest game was definitely versus Full Cents, where we went to map 3 overtime in the lower bracket. From that game onward, it felt like we were kinda in a flow state, honestly. We knew we meshed well and had good fundamentals as a team, so it came down to just playing how we always do and not overthinking or doing too much. Shoutout the goat IGL belle for reeling us back in when we started making mistakes, and shoutout Kaitou for keeping the vibes up the whole time.

Flame4Game: That is great to hear. Congratulations again, it is always nice to have good vibes on a winning team. You actually led the entire league in total assists. Do you think this reflects your playstyle as a supportive player? To me, this was kind of surprising simply because I always see you getting kills.

Reimsy: It definitely has something to do with the fact that I have the most rounds played this season, but yeah, I think of myself as a support player first. I've always played at a level slightly above my mechanics, so I've never really been able to carry myself through a game on aim alone. Most people probably know me as a duelist player now, but I hadn't played duelist in years before signing up for VCC last season and having to pick it up again on CALMA. I feel like Phoenix is a character that suits me pretty well playing with RH, giving me the control to take fights on my own terms while still giving me the utility to set up my teammates when I can. I've always felt way different playing duelist in ranked versus playing duelist in a team environment. When I can trust my teammates to be in the right positions and use the right util, it makes the role a million times easier and feels so much more rewarding.

Flame4Game: Finally, What are your plans next season?

Reimsy: I've got a five stack cooking with some guys I've wanted to play with for a while, but we're waiting to see if all of our ratings work.

Editors note: The ratings did not work out.

Flame4Game: Finally, do you have anything to say to the rest of VCC? Perhaps a message to the doubters?

Reimsy: You're never too washed or too unc to win.

You can catch Reimsy playing currently in NA VCC Season 12, where he will be representing Ali Daycare.
