Hello, VCCians! With season 12 approaching, today we let three veterans of VCC share their opinions on everything VCC.
As always, if you guys have any suggestions on who to interview, or other article ideas, please let me or Revoke know!
(Note: Responses have been slightly edited for clarity and consistency.)
Question 1: Which team seems the strongest this season (barring your own team)?
Belle: I have a little bit of bias but I definitely am rooting for my friends on Revenge Tour, I also like 100GF with morro and kuruk and them, that team looks really fun to play against. I think there's a lot of good teams so its hard to just pick a few. Pretty much every team in my eyes has a good shot if they play their cards right.
Revoke: Definitely the Daycare on the other side of the road, Belle's Daycare. As someone who has played with rayz, they are a fantastic player and seeing them surrounded by players like snow, belle and kaitou, it really is a recipe for success and I'm really excited to see how they perform in the upcoming season!
Cataboo: Belle's daycare. They got half of RH and half of Decend; objectively a winning squad.
Question 2: Who do you think will win stats MVP?
Belle: I think there's some obvious picks like seji zack or ari (depending on the ping) but I think team success is gonna play a big factor on rating this season and I think whichever team is winning the most is going to have a good chance at having the highest stats player. Cataboo seems to always find a way to play good regardless of what scenario is happening so maybe he's a dark horse there. I'm going to try and enable my teammates like rayz and akame (snow) to be the best versions of themselves. I wouldn't be surprised though if a player I haven't named won the stats MVP. Lots of great players.
Revoke: I'm gonna go with Seji. I haven't played against awawa, but they're also a great shout. I played a 10 mans against Seji and he's just a very frustrating player to play against. Always aware of where you are on the map, making moves to gain map control and abuse gaps, and hitting every single shot. Really excited to see how he and the rest of Gamrs Wet Dream plays this season.
Cataboo: Well since mvp has to come from the winning team i would say akame. He is by far their [BD's] best player, and he was 2nd stats in s10.
Question 3: What are your thoughts on VCC's management?
Belle: It's always hard to find a perfect balance and make everyone happy so I think that in those terms the vcc team is doing a good job. I'm probably a little biased though seeing as I've joined the ranks of the mod team but even last season before I had some say I think that given the problems that had risen throughout the season they were handled pretty well. All the people on the mod team have been super nice to me and welcoming and I've had nothing but good experiences so far.
Revoke: I think the only thing is just more organization on production, which is currently being worked on. We have the site, we have the staff, we just need to lock down having good streams, good casters and good quality production that will keep people interested in watching and supporting the tournament. For what I like about it currently, definitely the community aspect. You can go to many different communities related to Valorant, and you will find people who have played in VCC, have a story, or are currently participating. Having great discussion and community bonding over the league is extremely important, and I'm happy to say there is a constant buzz about the league.
Cataboo: I think the sub system is still horrible and there hasnt been enough to improve it. All they did was say "guys pwease find the closest sub and dont insta +2". Outside of that i have no major complaints.
Question 4: What is one message you want to share with everyone?
Belle: Good luck to all the teams! Hopefully everyone stays confident in themselves and their teams and this season can be the most competitive yet. Don't let cataboo 3 peat.
Revoke: VCC has and will continue to improve and become a tournament that not only the staff is proud of being a part of, but players too. It's a great time to meet new people, play in a more competitive environment and get your name out there. We have had players who are now in Challengers participate, and you never know, by participating maybe you light that spark and may become the next player to graduate VCC into Challengers or potentially VCT. It's a great time, and we hope everyone enjoys this season and the upcoming seasons as well.
Cataboo: Fear PRC, we aint holding any punches.
Thanks for reading, and hope all of you have a good day! All the love.
